Speaker:

Join Victor Torres to explore the complex case of a 72-year-old patient with a history of a tumor in T8 and a massive pulmonary thromboembolism requiring thrombolysis.

He was admitted for a stroke, with an NIHSS score of 26 and a BAD score of 3, requiring urgent intervention.

The surgical team performed a carotid access under ultrasound guidance to treat an MCA occlusion. They used a microcatheter 27 with a microwire, but the latter failed to respond when attempting to remove it and was lost.

Discover how the surgical team managed this complication and ultimately treated the patient.
