Recurrent initially ruptured ACOM aneurysm after intrasaccular FD device embolization, treated with coil remodeling and consecutive stenting

Last update on November 22, 2024

The patient is a 57-year-old woman who presented with a sudden headache and nausea. She has a past history of a ruptured ACom aneurysm that was treated as an emergency with WEB.

Nine months later, there was a recurrence of this ruptured aneurysm. It had been secured by the WEB but was still growing. Considering the anatomy and the recurrence of the aneurysm, the team decided to operate by placing a stent at the level of the neck and delivering coils.
