Venous sinus stenting and transcanal recordings for objective assessment of pulsatile tinnitus

Last update on October 26, 2024

The patient is a 30-year-old woman who presented with left-sided pulsatile tinnitus. The MRV and transcanal recordings revealed venous narrowing of the left transverse sinus but no evidence of idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH).

The medical team opted for a right femoral arterial approach to perform the angiogram and a right femoral venous approach with stenting to treat the patient.
