Wake-up stroke thrombectomy following a subacute ischemia of the right upper limb

Discover the case of a 86 years-old female, with an history of chronic arrhythmia / atrial fibrillation under warfarin, HBP and cured breast cancer. Day-1, she was admitted for subacute ischemia of the right upper limb (INR 1.2). Angio-CT revealed a right humeral artery clot. She was scheduled for a vascular surgery on the next day. However, early morning on D-Day, she was discovered with left hemiplegia (NIHSS 19), and transferred a couple of hours later to Bicêtre for a thrombectomy.
