Guoli DUAN (Shanghai) presents a case of transarterial curative embolization of a parietal lobe arteriovenous malformation (AVM) in a 48-year-old woman. She reported a month-long history of headaches and had previously experienced a hematoma caused by an AVM in 2011, which was managed conservatively at the time.
Recent imaging revealed a right parietal AVM requiring intervention. The surgical team opted for transarterial embolization, employing a bilateral femoral approach and using microcatheters (Marathon, Apollo, and Echelon 10) alongside coils to effectively treat the lesion.
