The case concerns a 14-year-old patient who presented with facial TIAs. Imaging revealed an MCA dissecting aneurysm. At that time, the strategy was to adopt a conservative approach.
Three years later, the patient began presenting inflammatory symptoms again, and MRI and angiography revealed significant growth of the aneurysm.
This time, the surgical team’s strategy was to reconstruct the artery using a telescoping pipeline device and intravascular imaging, while also deploying coils.
