Yongjie MA (Beijing) presents the case of a dural arteriovenous fistula (DAVF) in the Galen region treated with radical embolization. The patient, a 57-year-old man, experienced persistent headaches and was found to have a cerebral haemorrhage that resolved with conservative management. Subsequent imaging revealed the DAVF in the Galen region.
The surgical team opted for a two-stage embolization approach: the first targeted the pial supply, including the posterior cerebral artery (PCa) meningeal branch and the posteromedial choroidal artery, while the second was performed through the middle meningeal artery.
