Laetitia DE VILLIERS (Australia) describes the case of an anterior communicating artery (AComm) aneurysm with associated complications. The patient was a 70-year-old woman with no significant medical history who presented with an 8 mm right AComm aneurysm.
She underwent treatment with the Contour endosaccular device, which was a relatively new technology at the time.
The 6-month post-operative DSA revealed that the aneurysm was completely filled, without any thrombus. However, it ruptured shortly before a scheduled new surgery.
