Foramen magnum dural AV fistula treated by transarterial embolisation

Presentation of the best cases submitted by attendees

Last update on November 16, 2018

Take a look at this interesting case of a 73-year-old man presenting nausea and vomiting, hiccups and swallowing difficulty, and above all, a progressive left lower limb weakness for 10 days. The clinical examination shows a left lower limb power grade 4/5 with an international tremor and left Hoerner's syndrome. The MRI and MRA reveal an edema over the left side of the medulla, dilated vessels in the pre-pontine cistern and probably a dural arteriovenous fistula.
