  • 78 year-old-female with critical stenosis versus occlusion of the cervical right internal carotid artery on CTA
  • Angiography revelead occlusion of the cervical, petrous, and intracavernous segments of the right ICA with reconstitution by vasa vasorum
  • Angioplasty could not safely be performed due to risk of damaging vasa vasorum vessel
  • Medical management only
