Recorded Cases - Bicêtre Hospital, Paris - Imaging assessment during Clinical Work-up is important: Mycotic M4 Sylvian Aneurysm mistaken for ischemic stroke, treated using flow diversion

A 62-year-old man initially treated with IV thrombolysis for suspected ischemic stroke was later found to have a ruptured mycotic M4 Sylvian aneurysm. After a delayed diagnosis and hematoma progression, the team performed flow diversion using a Silk Vista Baby device. Follow-up showed full aneurysm occlusion and hematoma resorption at 1 year, with a stable result at 3 years.
