Ruptured Craniocervical AV Fistula: Embolization with Stent Retriever Vessel Protection

Discover the case of a 58-year-old patient hospitalized for persistent headaches and lower limb weakness, who developed acute impaired consciousness a few days after admission. Imaging revealed intraarticular hemorrhage and hydrocephalus, while DSA identified a cervical arteriovenous shunt with multiple feeders. The diagnosis: a ruptured craniocervical junction AV fistula. The patient underwent embolization using a stentriever.
