Rapidly growing PCOM-Aneurysm treated with the Contour Neurovascular System™

Case

CASE PRESENTATION

  • 51-year-old female experienced Cephalea and right III nerve palsy, admitted to our hospital in the course of development of ophthalmoplegia of the right eye
  • Incidental finding: Aneurysm  of the PCOM section of the right ICA with a size of 5 mm - confirmed by diagnostic angiography
  • 5 days later, at the time of the scheduled therapy, the aneurysm was clearly progressing in size, with a small daughter aneurysm (including daughter aneurysm the max length had grown to 8mm)
  • Clinically with persistent double vision with internal and external oculomotor paresis of the right eye, despite treatment with cortisone

  • clinical improvement during 2 weeks post embolization
