The CLOT summit was established in 2015 to evaluate and develop pathways for enhancing stroke care. It gathers scientists involved in clot research, engineers involved in device development, and physicians involved in interventional and medical treatment of acute ischemic stroke. Dr. Jens Fiehler, ESMINT president, outlines the objectives of the meeting. Later this year, we will present the formal consensus of the CLOT summit experts on the management of tough clots in our third newsletter.
