LINNC 2013

LINNC 2013
Live Interventional Neuroradiology & Neurosurgery Course June 11-13, 2013 Paris, France - Carrousel du Louvre

Dear Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 2013 edition of LINNC Paris; we have grown, and this program is one of the essential aids in preparing your participation at the meeting.

The course itself continues to evolve, aiming to provide you the best of medical education. Once again this year the European Society of Minimally Invasive Neurological Therapy (ESMINT) has officially endorsed LINNC as a “recommended European Educational Event”.

There will be an entirely new session dedicated to stroke, which will be presented in conditions as close as possible to a “live” setting. Live case transmissions themselves, coming from Europe (Paris, Geneva and Helsinki), Japan (Saitama) and the United States (Houston, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona), will be led by world renowned experts and followed by lively discussions. LINNC encourages the interaction and active participation of those attending and an excellent example of this will take place on Wednesday when the conclusion of our ongoing LINNC online “Read & React” case will be revealed in an afternoon session.

Each of the three days will be focused on a specific topic: Tuesday, we will consider venous occlusion concepts for the endovascular treatment of brain AVMs; Wednesday, intrasaccular flow modifiers (including a hybrid case from Japan) and on Thursday, we will concentrate on stroke management and the future of endovascular therapy with recorded cases from Montpellier, France.

A variety of techniques will be presented, from the latest devices now available in Europe to the hybrid procedure presented by our Japanese interventional and surgical colleagues. For those who do not have access to the latest technologies, we urge you to become acquainted with what will certainly be part of your future clinical practice. For those who do have access, these cases, presented by world experts, will offer valuable insights as well as practical tips and tricks.

The topics will be as vast as the world presenting them, and we offer you this programme as a first tool in navigating LINNC Paris. In tandem, LINNC online and our specially developed smartphone application will provide you with a complete set of tools to guide you through this meeting and beyond, throughout the year. LINNC online, our dedicated website, will not only be updated regularly throughout LINNC Paris, but will continue to offer a variety of clinical material from the course and elsewhere during the entire year.

Welcome to Paris and we wish you an excellent LINNC 2013.

Sincerely,
